C.S. At western tip of small island opposite the end of the portage (the lower island marked on 4-1s) Great swimming. Best C.S. in this area! Paddle 1/2 mile crossing to the north (right) shore.

P. 700 yards. Grassy landing right near the top of the falls. Tricky to spot and tricky approach. Very slippery clay. Very rough. Through a burn. Falls are spectacular. A must see. Good view if cut over to the river just before 1/2 way! Terrible loading area (’70 said possible C.S. 25 yards after start???). |
