TO BOTTOM OF FOURS, 5 hours moving. A good half day ... JULY 29/a

Paddle down left shore. Road enters form the left into the river. About 75 yards below the road is a point. Shoot around this blind point about 10 yards off the shore (to avoid a cellar on the left shore that’s hidden by the point) and pull quickly into eddy on left (about 30 yards above the falls) Very tricky. Caution! (Or Clay took trail 50 yards below road mentioned above)

P In shallow reeds about 2/3 the way down the shore of the eddy we bushed out a trail. Bush way back from the river about 30 yards until you hit an old trail. Follow it to the right, up a hill to a road, turn right on the road and follow it until come to a row of large buildings (an old Hydro camp) possible to stop here for the night and stay dry- lots of room. Pass just to the east of the huts heading down toward the river which is reached by descending a set of steps 800 yards around the first of the Fours. #88,89,90
